You Know you're a netizen when....

If there's one thing I love about Netizens, it's their immense dedication and passion towards K-Pop. Excuse me for being so sentimental because I'm like that sometimes, I feel that with K-Pop there's that sense of camaraderie. K-Pop, until recently, hasn't been that popular or widely known, so finding someone who likes K-pop was always rare and special at the same time. It's like being in a giant club where you can share your love of Asian People and Asian culture! How great is that! Now, I am so proud to know that there's netizens nearly everywhere! There really  aren't any fans like K-pop fans. I don't know any other fans that donate rice, or create fan chants.  For example, you know you're a Netizen when you....

  • spend hours scouring the internet for that one K-pop video with English Subs.
  • spend hours scouring the internet, only to end up watching the same video in Korean anyway because you couldn't find the one with the English Subs.
  • stay up late watching Strong Heart, Star King, or any Korean variety show, laughing hysterically, at the same time, secretly hoping that our parents don't hear us from the other room.
  • check Soompi and Allkpop everyday
  • stalk twitter and the only thing you understand is ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
  • stalk Facebook for "possible" K-pop idols' facebook pages.
  • cry whenever our idols cries
  • ship idols together (Eunhae ftw!)
  • learn all the songs in Hangul (that's true dedication right there)
  • learn all the idols' birthdays, blood type, siblings, likes, dislikes, and more
  • give our idols' nicknames (Henry Lau is called Mochi)
  • travel a bajillion miles to go to a K-pop concert
  • like and favorite a ton of  fancams because you unfortunately live in a small, obscure, in-the-middle-of-nowhere town, so you can't actually go to a K-pop concert
  • quote lines from K-Pop songs
  • convince your non-K-pop loving friends that the dude with skinny jeans and the blond hair, is not gay!
  • ...and then we still try to convert our non-kpop loving friends into netizens
  • Raise your standards to Handsome/singer/dancer/funny/nice/sweet/daebak/composers/actors/musicians/who are Asian.
  • bow when you don't mean to.
  • memorize fan chants
  • know Korean culture better than your own culture.
  • laugh when your idols laugh
  • laugh even when you don't know what your idols are laughing at
  • laughing at the way K-pop idols laugh
  • get excited when you're favorite idols speak English
  • all your friends know about K-pop (because of you)
  • start looking for Korean people everywhere and anywhere
  • ask any Asian person if they know K-Pop
  • constantly answer the question "What's K-pop?"
  • use Korean words that you may or may not understand on a daily basis
  • learn the K-pop dances
  • whenever we hear a word, it reminds us of a K-Pop song (Sorry Sorry Sorry!)
  • relate everything to K-pop
  • get defensive over your favorite K-Pop groups
  • try to get more views for your favorite idols' music video
  • Stay up late trying to get tickets for concerts
  • vote for your favorite idol for everything
  • 90% of your I-pod is filled with K-pop music
  • you forget what American music is.
  • your non-netizen friend says,"Set fire to the Rain!" and you panic because you think it's Bi Rain. (True Story!)
  • love guys who wear eyeliner and BB cream
  • know more than one website to watch dramas
  • yell and/or scream at your computer screen when you're watching dramas
  • plaster our walls with K-pop posters
  • your screensaver is K-Pop
  • your computer wallpaper is K-Pop
  • your cellphone wallpaper is K-Pop
  • AND you cellphone ringtone is K-Pop
  • write a K-pop blog about everything K-pop!
And this is why I love netizens. With that said, don't you think we need a Netizens Day now? I know I would.  I bet I'm missing another list of things we Netizens do on a daily basis, but needless to say, Netizens are the best and I am proud to say that I am Netizen. Hwaiting!!

If there's anything I'm missing, don't hesitate to comment below!
