Dolsot Bibimbap
So today we discuss Bibimbap 비빔밥 for our KFA. The word bibimbap mean mixed rice or mixed meal. Its a dish that had warm rice at the bottom and then is topped with vegetables that have been sauteed. It has various veggies on top so to name them all is impossible and also the fact that there are so many possibilities. So anyways usually theres some meat, seaweed (YUMM!), soy bean sprouts, carrots, mushrooms, spinach, etc. As for presentation the veggies are usually placed to compplement each of their color. So as to any place anywhere there are variations of this ,like the dolsot bibimbap like shown in the picture, it means stone bibimbap because this particular bibimbap is served in a very hot bowl and served with raw egg that is to be cooked at the side of the bowl (cool huh!) also the bowl is so hot that anything that touches is sizzles for a period of time so what they do is they coat the bottom of the bowl with sesame oil before putting the rice and this makes the rice at the bottom crispy and a good golden brown color. Many other variations include seafood and other mixed vegetables. This dish can be served hot or cold.

I have had bibimbap but mine was served cold. It was the tastiest thing I have ever eaten. It came with the bowl looking lovely for it had been arraged and then I put som gochujang past (chili paste) and some sesame oil then mix it. My parents and I enjoyed the meal very much. I cant wait to have it again.
