KRASH #3 -- Traditional Korean Clothing

I must say that hanbok's are one of the most beautiful pieces of traditional clothing I have ever seen. Its very elegant and beautiful. Their very colorful and donned with elegant patters. I know that I will wear one of these for my weddings because I'm so in love with them even if I get married to a Korean man or not.  Now these spectacular pieces of clothing are not just worn on everyday basis (while some do) they are usually worn on special occasions like a wedding, funeral/death,  a child birthday, i think they wear it for the new year.

The outfit is made of the 저고리 jeogori and its the upper garment of the hanbok that covers the arms and shoulder. The second piece is Chima which is the skirt. The tie is called an Otokorum. Generally in most hanboks I have seen the top and bottom are different colors...

The picture is of a more modern take on the hanbok. Their wedding hanboks and that's why I said I would wear this for my wedding. I love the colors especially the blue's on it. The chocolate brown matches well with the pretty sky blue.

For makeup don't cake it on. For a dress like the on in the picture you want the attention to be on the dress. Maybe some bb cream, a soft blush, light pink lips, and eyeliner.

For hair I wouldn't do anything fancy keep it simple because you want people to notice the dress so I would suggest putting it up like the girl on the right in the picture.

Isn't it beautiful.....

KRASH #2 -- Winter Fashion

Now people spring is not yet here and winter is still in it's reign. My favorite time for fashion is winter because you don't have to sacrifice fashion for the cold. From experience Korean winter is very harsh. Actually while I was there there was a blizzard and my plane back hope to Florida was a bumpy one. But in Korea there's endless possibilities. The thing you need is a statement jacket. A jacket that very stylish like the one on the girl in the picture. Although it has a very plane color its design makes it unique and really pop. Since it's very cold there you need a very warm jacket and when you go to korea during the winter i warn you to wear some layers. Also skit scarfs and hats in Korea are very popular. Their very comfy and very warm so your neck and head will me nice and toasty. In Korea during the winter you can wear skirts and just pair it with tights, above knee high socks. For me I would wear a jacket like the one in the picture but it's hood is fur and skinny jeans, scarf (a thick warm one), uggs, and a cute knit hat. But make sure to wear a little bit of jewelry like a cute bangle or necklace... for makeup make sure to wear as little as possible. maybe some bb cream and eyeliner. The other beauty in asian fashion is that their makeup isn't so overwhelming and its very natural....

IM HERE!

hello my dear readers! i have just got home from rehearsathon which is rehearsing for 4 hours. I'm in band ( i know, how asian of me) but anyways I'm in my high school marching band and on Thursday we have a band festival and so we had to rehearse. So just now I got home from that and yeah it was fun. They had extra desserts and they said we can take them. The other school (by the way A it was your school band that was with us) didn't want any so I took some. I took half a carton of cookies, 3 cake pops, and 3/4 a liter of soda (i jugged it in 5 minute...it was AWESOME) anyways yes my mouth is sore, my back hurts, my fingers don't like me and i'm sweaty and need a shower. But i love you all and that's why I'm doing this :) so heres another little gift for you all

Missing Hankyung

Since Anne's been talking about some K-pop idols that left their groups, it reminded me how much I miss Hangeng or Hankyung? I still don't know which one it is. Well, I just became an ELF the December of last year, so I recently founded out about Hangeng, Kibum, Heechul, and Kangin all leaving the group for different reasons. As I watched old Super Junior videos like EHB (Explorers of the Human Body; this show is hilarious!) I put Hangeng on my bias list. He's the shy and silent type and he seems super nice. I really miss him. It's really sad that SM Entertainment worked him so hard and put him under terrible working conditions. I read that he contracted a kidney disease because of this! These entertainment companies need to treat their idols better! He's now a solo artist in China and there are rumors that he may be dating and/or marrying someone. I'm so happy for him, but I still miss him! Hankyung come back!

And you know what else? I'm dreading the day when Super Junior is going to the army. I'm going to cry when that happens. T_T I hate the rotation concept!!!

TEEN TOP Practicing Crazy Dance

This has got to be the cutest thing I have watched today. Here Teen Top is practicing the dance for their song Crazy and in this they really went crazy. ITS SO FREAKING CUTE! I love how they making all these noises and at one point when they do a crotch grab sorta thing a guy goes "sekshihada!" Watching practice video's like these is good because you see their real good dance moves and you get to see them have fun and fool around.

Fav performance: Teen Top's Crazy

this is my fav live performance of their song Crazy. The performance was certainly powerful and very MANLY!!!! I'm digging the dance and the awesome rapping and also the chorus. Their outfits also!
*fan girl scream time*

Missing Home...

If you guys didn't know A and I are Filipino but were a little different. While both of us are completely 100% Filipino the difference is I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines till I was 7 and I am 14 now.  A on the other hand was born and raised in America. I returned last year to visit my family that I haven't seen in 5 years and whenever I see a picture of my one and true Home tears swell up in my eyes. So guys always have pride in where you came from. For me I love my Home and I'm proud of it.

REVIEW: Davichi & T-ara We were in love

This a collaboration song with Davichi and 4 members of T-ara. Now I really like this song but I must say they should have given some more parts to Jiyeon. T-ara was not a girl group that I really followed up but I knew they existed its the same thing with me and KARA. I know they exist but I kinda don't care. Don't bash me for saying that but they didn't impress me enough to watch... I've only watch 2 and that's this one and Lovey Dovey in which I will review after I do this. This song is a very pretty ballad about love (surprise surprise...) Anyways The song is full of wonderful voices and I must say Davichi is very GOOD. I need to listen to them more. I love the song because there is some emotion put into the lyrics so yes guys this is bathroom singing worthy. i must say that I don't like the the rapping.... They look all so pretty in the mv :)

KRASH #1 - Simple Spring Look

İmagesIn Asia when it comes to fashion it's mostly very subtle and very simple. Check out the picture. She's wearing just another white jean shorts that I'm sure you can find one similar to it in the mall. I think the point of the shorts is the belt. Its kind of different and the dark buttons match very well with the white theme of the outfit. The cuffs at the bottom of the shorts look cute. The the white tank top now is striped black and white. Its something to that makes me want to look at because it is a bold pattern. She Paired it off with a nice white cardigan/jacket. This outfit is perfect for spring because of the beautiful fresh color and the fact that in the spring it's neither too cold or too hot. So shorts are perfect and a light jacket's good. The whole outfit gives me the whole "fresh girl" feeling. I think that every girl should at least own something close to an outfit like this because it's something that is very simple.

Lack of Patience

Ugh! I am waiting for Shut Up Flower Boy Band to come out with English Subs and it's killing me!!!! I have no patience for this! Subbers sub faster!!!

Krash - fashion

Hello people and this new section of the blog is Krash which is short for korean fashion. I love korean fashion and actually asian fashion in general. So I, anne, will have some upcoming pictures and maybe tell you about the look and stuff. I hope you guys like this and please make sure to comment so I know that this is a new addition to the blog :)

although this doesn't apply to me anymore... its still funny

my fav phrase to use on my siblings...

A Gift from me...

Rant 1: Title Tracks

Photo taken from Deviant and Courtesy of Rightful Owners
Here is my first rant. I'm ready to unleash my frustration on the world! Now, I really don't understand Korean entertainment companies. Don't you hate it when K-Pop idols have other songs on their albums that are just as good, (gasp!) sometimes even better, than the title tracks they actually promote? Prime examples include Super Junior. Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm an E.L.F, and I love Mr. Simple, A-cha, and Superman, but I also love their other song, Walkin which is just as good. (Mick Jagger said he like it too by the way!) It's got this really awesome reggae vibe to it and I fell in love with it instantly! It sounded different from their other songs which was  why I loved it, because it's the kind of song that you can wake up to in the morning and begin your day with! It's a happy-go-lucky song, which is also why I really really wished that they had promoted it along with Mr. Simple or at least made an music video for. The same goes for SNSD. The Boys was a good song that got stuck in my head after a week {GIRLS BRING THE BOYS OUT!} However; and there's always that however, have you heard their song Trick? It's got an amazing beat with a catchy melody and it's very dance-y! So far they've ONLY promoted the Boys. I'm guessing it's because they have an English version for it so they could promote in the US, but Trick, that was a good song that they should have promoted at least in Korea if not America.

Lastly, the biggest example is Miss A. I have been scrolling through comment after comment on YouTube that ranges from either "I love it! It's so different!" to "Miss A could have done better." Well, have you listened to the rest of their album? If not, do it now! Right now! Never once have I listened to a whole album, American, Korean, or otherwise, and liked all of the songs on it. That changed with Miss A, because yes, I do like Touch, and all of their songs too. Each song has a plethora of instrumentals that work together to create these catchy beats, climatic, dance-till-your-dead, songs that make you break the replay button! So my question to all of the entertainment companies out there is why don't you promote these songs too?! Wae?

This is why I love Papa YG. This is what sets apart Big Bang from the rest of the other K-pop idols. They're actually promoting all of their songs. It's pretty ambitious but knowing Big Bang it's more than feasible, it's a sure-fire win. Now I won't get into Big Bang because I'm saving my fan girling for later (FEB. 29!!). But hopefully you see the reason for my frustration. Don't believe me? Check out some of the songs below.

The Should've, Could've Playlist

This is Super Junior's Walkin'! It's so good that I must, must play it in the morning. It's just that kind of song!
SNSD really should have performed this song (Trick) in America; personally, I think it would've been a big hit!
This is the 1st track, I believe... on the their Touch album; it's called Lips. Trust me when I say you'll be hooked from beginning to end! So far this one is my favorite.
This song is called Rock and Rule and it's got some of that sweetness with Miss A flair; their English is just amazing!
Lastly, this song is called No Mercy; Miss A has definitely evolved as artists and I'm proud of them. And JYP is a genius because these songs really translate well into English!

So, what's your verdict? Should these be promoted? Could they be promoted? Don't leave anything out and comment below! Don't forget to subscribe to get your daily dose of Ramyun!!

Crazy - Teen Top Review

Image Detail

I started liking TEEN TOP when they first debuted but I never really check up on then till now but yes I love their new song Crazy that was released Jan 4, 2012 an it's a cute love song. The dance was very powerful and manly...LOL. The MV was also very cute yet masculine. Their singing abilities are no joke. All song I have heard from them has always been catchy so I'm probably gonna be listening to this song for the next couple days and before you know it I'm gonna be singing it in my shower. Yeah guys this song is that good. I must say this is one of the best from Teen Top. So for you Teen Top Fans I put a cute picture of them at the top. Teen Top is on its way to the top no so watch out.:)....but.... i have one question....whats with the crotch grabbing guys????

Rotation Concept

Image Detail

In Kpop and Jpop there's this group concept that never works and thats the rotation concept. Its when a group debuts but the members that debut are not the permanent members but they rotate so every time there will be another member called a line up change. This was the original concept for the popular kpop group Super Junior because SM was inspired to do what Morning Musume does like the graduations and generation thing. But that concept didn't work so yeah now we have our current Super Junior. The same thing was to happen for popluar jpop group Berryz Koubou who is in the same company as Morning Musume but that too didn't work. Another kpop group tried the same concept and yet again failed and that's the group XING they debuted in 2006 and lasted till 2009. Many of the members left to find a better life. Kevin of U-kiss and Kibum also known as Marumir were original members and both left, B2ST's rapper  Yong Jun-Hyung was also a member of XING but left, The BOSS member were all former members of XING, 2 other member of XING became a part of  X-5 and another 2 went to Apeace, and another 2 became members of Singing In the Rain. Now think of this happened to our beloved SUJU!

Happy Birthday to: CL

Saeng il chu ka ham ni da (Happy Birthday!) This fierce and powerful woman has just turned 2ne1 today! (Wow. That was a corny pun -_-' ) Of course the always effervescent Dara took pictures that were posted on her Me2day. There are so many good things to say about CL. Amazing voice, check! Killer style, Check. Good leadership skills, check. Charisma, strong stage presence, and confidence: check, check, and check! CL is the epitome of a strong and independent woman. She is an inspiration, so naturally she is one of my favorite K-pop idols. I expect great things lay in store for her. Happy Birthday from Ramyun's A and Anne! A go go go!

Here are some my favorite CL moments.

Cl sang at the MAMA awards with Apl.de.ap and Will.i.am. I was so proud! XD
This was when she auditioned for YG Entertainment.
Did I forget to mention she's a beast rapper?
Keke. Cl doesn't like showing her room to the public.
This is my favorite 2ne1 mv of Cl. Her acting skills are so convincing!

Kim Ki Bum

Image DetailSo in a previous post I said that that I thought that U-Kiss had a member change and I was right. I read somewhere that Alexander and Ki Bum's contracts we actually terminated and said that they were "lacking" to me that sounds incredibly and utterly rude and wrong and the company publicly said that they quit. That was very unprofessional. I also think that if you(the company) thought that someone was "lacking" you wouldn't debut them unless they improved. The company training him more could have saved him the humiliation. And the fact that he lft XING to be a part of U-Kiss.... this left me speechless...

please check out my own personal blog :) click if you want to :)

U-Kiss

I seriously miss this....*sigh* i wish KiBum and Alexander didn't leave...

Kim Hyung Jun & Kim Kibum

Image Detail
Kim Ki Bum ex U-Kiss member
Kim Hyung Jun
If you guys didn't know SS501's maknae Kim Hyung Jun and ex-U-KISS member Kim Ki Bum are siblings. And both of them had some unfortunate things happen. SS501's contract ended with DSP Media and as Kim Hyun Joong explained that no company would take them as a whole so the members had no choice but for each of them to sign to different companies. So their broken up yet not broken up. Its also confusing to me. Now they have started their solo careers and now Kim Hyung Jun has started an acting career in the drama "My Shining Girl" but to me its unfortunate. On the other hand a sort of similar thing happened to his brother Kim Ki Bum. Personally he is was my favorite in U-KISS. There was a member change in which Alexander and Ki Bum left. The company said that they left but i think it was really a member change anyways I hope both come back in better then before!

My favorite live Touch by Miss A performance

i told you guys that i have been watching and loving Miss A's Touch live performances and so far this one is my favorite. I like how there's a balanced lighting and I don't have to squint or lean over to my screen to see who's singing because in some live performances its so dark. Also i really love their outfits here its a change to the one the other nude color dresses. I absolutely love Min's hair long and I hope she keeps it that way. If you guys didn't notice Min is actually as tall as the other members. Please don't get mad at me for saying that because I'm short too. Anyways I saw that she's wearing some sky rocket heels that are super cute! Fei's dress is soooooo CUTE! Suzy (my favorite member) is also so cute in this. She's sporting the same hairstyle but she so cute and i love her highlights. Jia's hair is so awesome. Since their actual lighting i saw her hair had some deep purple highlights and she looks good with them. To me she's know as the one that's not afraid of different colors in her hair.

get the look from Miss A's Touch

BEAUTY: Blonde Highlights!

Suzy - Miss A
Courtesy of All K-pop and all rightful owners

I don't know about you, but there are times when blonde looks really, really bad on an Asian. But then there are those times when blonde looks really really good on Asian. This being one of them!

Every since SNSD's Bad Girl MV came out, I fell in love with Taeyeon's hair! It was just so cool!  Her hair just matched the concept perfectly! Sometimes, for me, full out blonde hair on  K-pop idol can be a bit of a turn off; however, with Taeyeon's hair the blonde served as more of an accent.  Now I'm starting to see the trend among other K-pop idols.

Recently, Miss A's Suzy was seen sporting blonde highlights in their new music video Touch (which begins to grow on you after a while) and on their comeback stages! I repeat: It's just so cool! Daebak! The color doesn't attack me like a flashlight; it enhances the whole Miss A Gothic/Lolita-like theme they were going for like it did for Taeyeon in Bad Girl.

And while we're circling the topic of highlights, did I mention how much I loved Taeyeon's PINK hair! Her hair was like Neapolitan ice cream! The roots were chocolate, the middle was vanilla while the tips were strawberry. Yum! Yet she still looked fierce. I guess the most appealing thing about this whole blonde highlight love I'm having is because it exudes ferocity! When I saw these highlights on these idols, they were always doing something really fierce and powerful, so natutally wouldn't I want in on some of that Crayola color magic? I swear one day I'm gonna chop all my hair off (ok, not all!) and dye my tips blonde! Who's with me! XD

Blonde Highlight FTW!

Taeyeon - SNSD
It's Suzy!!
There's that kid leader again!

We Got Married: Part 2

Credits belong to rightful owners
Ni Hao! MBC is one smart cookie considering that their workers are on strike and yet they just began a new WGM, the Chinese version. This new version features Super Junior's Kyuhyun and Chinese actress Lou Yi Xiao. Now I'm not going to lie to you; I was pretty skeptical about this, I was also excited that I would be able to watch some sort of WGM to fill up my Saturday.

Now please note that everything I say is just my opinion, so don't take this personally in any way or you can agree to disagree, because I'm gonna serve up the bad news and the good news.

Two words to describe this couple: Awkwardly Cute

First of all, the first thing I noticed was the large amounts of awkwardness. Maybe it was the fact that the guy is Korean while the girl is Chinese. Am I the only one seeing the language barrier? However; this wasn't a big hindrance to the overall show. Yi Xiao was very sweet and patient as she waited for Kyuhyun to finish his sentences. (Awwwww!) Plus, from what I could tell Kyuhyun could understand more Mandarin than what he can speak, which is to say, not a lot. Thank goodness for the universal hand gestures!

You know what bugs me a lot in WGM? This question: "Who's your favorite male idol?" Ugh! All the guys ask this question, and Kyu is no exception. So they ask this, and the girl will answer honestly "Well, I like..." then the guy freezes and gets all stoic and upset. So what if Yi Xiao likes Lee Minho? You're the one who asked her in first place!

(He was trying to say I won't be unhappy)

That's not unhappy at all.
Now putting all the pessimism aside, overall I really did like this couple. Kyuhyun fans don't kill me when I say this, but personally I think Kyuhyun is spoiled by not only his family but by his SuJu hyungs (means older brother). I mean he's not the best cook, he's a bit lost when it comes to chores, and next to singing his other passion in life is Star Craft (very geeky, cute though ^_^). Then when you look at Lou Yi Xiao, she's very independent, a bit headstrong, and really outgoing and bubbly! Even though she looks a tad old for age, her personality proves otherwise. She's quite different from a Korean girl, and it was refreshing to watch someone like her, because she seemed so real and unscripted (even though it was scripted). So when I watched them, especially during the cooking scenes, I knew that they made a good couple. Yi Xiao is bossy so it works well with Kyuhyun's glib tongue and teasing nature which earned him the title of "Evil Maknae". (dududuuuuuuh!) She can handle his "Evilness" and she's not afraid to throw it right back at him. (Watch the episode and you'll see what I mean.)

lol! Kyu can't even beat eggs!
Lastly they had a lot of endearing moments: Kyuhyun serenaded her and he played piano and harmonica for her. It was so sweet and cute to watch Kyu be romantic! Yi Xiao was touched to tears! Literally! But I doubt she was that touched. C'mon, it's been two days and you're crying? That's what I call a good actress!  Among the numerous impromptu performances, he also presented her with a giant golden locket with a pic of them inside! (Omo!)  I also liked how Yi Xiao attempted aegyo and scattered throughout the episode she would try to use her very limited Korean, which I thought was really sweet too!
He's playing piano here.

So, here's my conclusion: CUTE COUPLE; KINDA SCRIPTED,SHORT EPISODE

Who's idea was it to make one episode for this? Huh? Scripted or not, I still like this couple.

Cue the "Awwwww's" here
I give them 4 bowls of ramyun -er- well in this case lo mein! and 1 dash of scallions!
Don't be silent! Speak out! What do you think and comment below!

What is love - EXO (korean ver. and chinese ver.)

Image Detail
So there's an awesome song that I keep singing and its EXO-K's What is love. Now this song and MV has been out for a while now but its called "prologue" song its a song before their actual song... now i think that is their debut song. because as far as i know your debut song is the first song you release. But anyways SM still hasn't released this group yet and their teasers are still going on and i believe there's like 19 of them already. It was cool at first but its getting tiring.... the promotion for this group has been so prolonged that people are starting to lose interest and i'm one of them. I hate waiting for their debut and it's not happening. This song is soooo UBER GUD!!! its catchy and since i love ballads i love this. Since it's a ballad it showcases the members singing very well and the MV on SM's official YouTube channel has 2,214,424 views already. It also sucks because I really want to hear this song live and see how good of a group they really are. Now another reason that SM should let them debut is because when people get exited and expect more and more. now what if the people don't like them???? the real thing SM should worry about is how much longer people are willing to wait? I also think these boys are waiting to get their break and us people are waiting to finally see them.............i do think that the chinese version is kinda awkward to sing because i think the real son is korean and it was translated. im used to the korean ver. its like those songs that kpop groups translate to japanese... ITs awkward. Also the group has very good english...just noticed that...

Now this song has 2 versions a korean version and a chinese version. The group is actually broken in 2 seperate groups one is EXO-K is korean and one is EXO-M is chinese and there are 6 members in each. One is targeted for Korea and One is for the Chinese market. Although I don't know how that's gonna work out or why SM didn't just release a whole other group for China and save us all the confusion but yeah.... the fact that there's cute boys in both groups makes me calm...
