Not over You - Nu'est Music Video Review
Nu'est's debut song, Face, showed a lot of promise and potential, which now has made them a standout group in a long line of rookies. Based on their past songs, synths and dubsteps are their signature, thus proving that their introduction as an "Urban Electro" group true. Sticking to that image, Not Over You is, lack of a better word (and terminology), synth-y. It's lighter and more mellow unlike their preceding songs which, in comparison, had a harsher sound. Lucky for me, it's missing their usual dubstep break, which I've come to expect whenever I listen to Nu'est, so I was a bit surprised when I heard Not Over You, but I think we can all agree it's a good song. Despite how good the song is, I'm a bit afraid as to whether Not Over You is going to be on of those songs that drag on, since there isn't much of a climax, but I suppose that's left up to the individual listener. Personally, I think it would have been a nice touch if one of the vocalists really belted out a high note or something of that character.
As for the music video, Nu'est did a 180 degree image change. The grunge, the leather, and the metallic were replaced with color, casual t-shirts, and high-five giving PUPPIES! Did I forget to mention that there's actual trees in this music video! They are actually communing with nature. This music video was a real visual relief from all the dimly lit, bizarre, black and white rooms that I'm accustomed to watching. They were smiling and having fun! I have missed these kind of music videos ever since Super Junior's No Other. Though, I am sad to say that there is something wrong with this music video. Are we forgetting that this is a melancholy, break up song? The song is titled Not Over You, but judging by this music video you wouldn't think so. Actually, you could go as far to say that these guys are completely over their ex unless.... it's all a coverup! A facade of sorts! Maybe their just acting happy, but really deep down inside they're just burying their depression. But seriously, if you do happen to read the lyrics, it really is sad, and without watching the music video, the song does have a tinge of longing. While I miss these happy-go-lucky, outdoor, videos, I believe that the music video should reflect the song. This, however, does not mean that Nu'est is a bad group. On the contrary, I put them high on my rookie list, right up there next to B.A.P. While they may not be my favorite, they are definitely ones to keep an eye on.
Other Afterthoughts:
-Nu'est looks like they're living and breathing anime characters! Or is that just me?
-Why is Ren shaving?
-K-pop idols should wear casual clothes more often in their music videos.

Teen Top - Be Ma Girl REVIEW
Teen Top has recently released the MV for Be Ma Girl for their Special Summer Album.
I like Teen Top but their not really a group that I look for. And the song was kind of mehh for me. It wasn't as good as Supa Luv and Crazy which are my 2 favorite songs by them.
First of I like the dance it was very creative but I think for a song that's about asking a girl out and being her man suits a cute dance like Touch's Lets Walk Together.
The MV was good I guess. There was nothing that really striked me in general.
What I liked in this MV was the cool fun colors they used whether being in their outfits, hair, or props. SO kudos to their stylist. I loved the neons at the end when they turned on that cool light that makes your shirt glow and I love the different hair colors that they had.
Good Job to the rapper. You did good.
Again this song was mehh for me so not much thought on the matter
Rooftop Prince KDRAMA REVIEW
Hmmmm......Singer turned Actors aren't really my thing since there are a few singers that are just not cut out to be an actor or an actress and that's what really made me judge this drama since JYJ's Yoochun is the lead. But after some coaxing from myself and also complete and utter boredom I decided that I should try it out. Another reason why I kind of didn't want to watch this drama was because of it being very historical.
I'm not one to believe the hype on drama's because I am very stubborn and so even, I someone who is completely obsessed with Lee Min Ho still hasn't watched City Hunter....maybe it's because I like thinking of him as the leader of F4 , Goo Jun Pyo who was my first love in the kdrama world. But now I believe the hype because this drama was worth the 20 hours straight that I stayed up and watched this. And guys when I become obsessed I become a whole other me. I become an ultimate otaku,I refuse to come out of my room unless I have to use the toilet. And I get super dedicated.
Let's talk about the who's who.
Lee Gak / Yong Tae Yon - Park Yoochun
Lee Gak is the Crown Prince and one morning he sees that his precious crown princess is face down in the water. Little did he know that it was not his wife but his sister-in-law. He travels 300 years into the future with his 3 companions to solve the mystery of the murder. He then later pretends to be Yong Tae Yong to try to solve the murder and also later falls in love with Bak Ha
Yong Tae Yong is Lee Gak's reincarnation
Bak Ha / Bu-Yong - Han Ji Min
Park Ha is the one who takes Lee Gak and his 3 friends into her rooftop house and tries to help them solve the murder but in the middle falls in love with the crown prince. When she was 9 her thought to be step sister put her in a back of a van and left her there. The van got into an accident where she was in an accident that made her loose her memories.
She's the reincarnation of Bu-Yong the crown prince's sister in law.
Hong Se Na / Hwa-Young - Jung Yoo Mi
She's a jelous grl who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She is Bak Ha's step sister but is really her blood sister. She was thone that put her in the back of the van. She is the reincarnation of the crown prince's late wife.
Yong Tae Mu/ Moo Chang - Lee Tae Sung
He is Yong Tae Yong's cousing who is hungry for the company and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. he works like crazy and is in love with Se Na.
I don;t want to do a whole gigantic summery of the whole 20 episode so I'll put the sypnosis from wiki.
Tae-mu (Lee Tae-sung), after killing his lost cousin in the United States, returns to Korea, claiming that his cousin, Tae-yong (Park Yuchun), could not be found in New York City. Meanwhile, Tae-mu has been having a secret affair with Se-na (Jung Yoo-mi), who, in turn, runs into her long-lost stepsister Park-ha (Han Ji-min). Park-ha has been missing for a prolonged period of time and it is revealed that she was in the US after Se Na offered her for adoption.
Two years after Tae-yong's disappearance, four men dressed in Joseon era garments, fall onto Park-ha's rooftop house. Homeless and having nowhere to go, the four men decide to stick with Park-ha. Their leader claims that he is the Crown Prince of Joseon (Park Yuchun), along with his entourage Song Man-bo (Lee Min-ho), Woo Yong-sool (Jung Suk-won), and Do Chi-san (Choi Woo-shik). One day, Crown Prince Lee Gak sees Se-na who is the spitting image of his beloved wife, who was found drowned in the 18th century. He is convinced the two are reincarnations of each other. Meanwhile, company president Yeo (Ban Hyo-jung) mistakes Lee Gak for her grandson, Yong Tae Yong, because of their exact same appearance, and believes that her long lost grandson had finally returned. Lee Gak realizes that he has time traveled 300 years to 2012, Seoul, to search for the truth behind the mysterious death of the late Crown Princess. In order to approach Se-na, who is also President Yeo's personal assistant, Lee Gak pretends that he is Tae-yong. Tae-mu, believes that he killed his cousin in New York, feels threatened when he hears the news that Tae-yong has returned and started working in the company.
On the other hand, Park-ha is shocked, and somewhat saddened by the news that her new friend who calls himself the Crown Prince is, in fact, the grandson of CEO. But before long, she realises that she loves Lee Gak, and feels sad as prince Lee Gak approaches Se Na in order to solve the mystery of princess' death.
-------------------------------------
My thought are this is a superb drama. ts very finely paced and just everything flows with whatever's happening. The feelings were very much displayed by the actors perfectly and made it so believable. I cried a lot during his drama.
Kudos to Yoochun for continuing filming his loss at that time.
The soundtrack also had tht same feeling in the songs. It was that sad sng Hurt by Ali that made me so teary.

woohoo small korean haul!
아녕하세요!
hey guys so I once again went shopping. I spent about $30 again but this time some things too pimp out my laptop. I go to a school that allows you to take your laptop to school for notes and such so I wanted to personalize my laptop so if it ever gets lost I can pinpoint which laotop is min and such. also I've been very keen in personalizing my laptop because I got a bit too tired of the plain old boring design.
So first of my laptop is not fancy like those macbooks but I have a 3 1/2 year old HP DV6000. While it being not fancy it still serves me its purpose (which is to blog) so Its ok.
So what I ordered was a korean keyboard stickers that has both the korean and english alphabet on it and i found it and it was around $9. it was pretty hefty for stickers but nonetheless cute and functional. Since I now have a keyboard that has the korean alphabet I changed somehing on the settings of my computer that lets me type in korean. The hello at the top I typed with that new function that I have. The stickers itself is hard to take of the plastic film but that just means that it has good sticking power.
The next thing I bought was stationary stickers to pimp out my planner for the school year. I'm going to be ordering more soon, maybe in a couple weeks. But its super cute. I am someone who gets bored easily so I need to make sure things are interesting so adding stickers and using different colors make me want to look and pay attention to things. Having these stickers for my planner will make me look forward to actually useing my planner. Its travel stickers so it has super cute places around europe. and I absolutely love it. The reason I bought this is because I adore korean stationary. Its because its girly/cute and while being chic and simple. It again was around $9 and again hefty for a bunch of stickers (6 sheets) and the reason I went ahead and bought it was because it is imported and when buying things that has to be imported of course it will be expensive. The other reason I bought this was I felt rich and wanted to spend money :) the real retale price for it if I bought it in korea is 3,500 won which is $3.50.... and seriously did not know this when i bought it but the title of the set was "Anne's travel set europe" which made me laugh when i saw it cuz that's my name :)
Besides pimping out the keyboard of my computer, why not pimp out the front. The front of my computer is the standard black so I wanted to add a hint of cuteness and so I bought a white Totoro decal. I bought it for $5 including shipping which is not bad. It came early and applied easily. It took me literaly 2 minutes to apply. It looked so cute I was staring at my laptop for a long time.
Again by me saying I get board easily I wanted a cute pencil case so that I would actually put my pens and pencils in a bag instead of just dumping it in my backpack and then having to dig it out when i need it. I bought a Rilakkuma pencil case for $8 and its super cute. i adore rilakkuma and quite happy I found one for a reasonable price. I already have a cute pencil case that I got as a present from a good friend which is a totoro pencil case and I'm using that right now but it came with a hefty price of a $20. I went on a field trip to epcot just days after my birthday and my friend had me pick my birthday present which was the pencil case and a totoro plush and both were $20 so of course me who cherish things from other people I guard it with my life like when it gets smushed I get all paniked and put it back into its original shape. also the inside is leather so yeah i want to protect it with my life. I thought the rilakkuma one wont be as bad if i ruined it. so that's why I bought it.
first off when i said my friend let me pick my present at epcot I did pick it with the price in mind and he was following me waiting for me to pick. when he saw that i really wanted the pencil case he had me give it to him so he could pay. i originally picked it up looked at the price then put it back down because it was $20 and me being a cheapo i put it back and he saw that and he took it and when he was about to pay he saw the plush and grabbed it and payed. Both were $20 if your asking. That friend is a close friend of mine and I'm not bragging in any way. I really appreciate what he gave me and cherish what he game me so just saying for those people who will say I'm bragging.
This blog is not to brag but to show you guys what i bought and so you guys can see them if you haven't seen these before. and also link for those who want to buy the same thing as me. And I did buy these myself with my own money.

T-ara scandal THOUGHTS
These are my thought on the very public battle between T-ara and former member HwaYoung. This is so big that the kpop world is in chaos right nor
Ok so first of all I'm not taking sides because most of the stuff that has been reported are just gossip and I am not one of the members or am i close to them to really know everything that's happening so i have no right to take sides.
So first of all Hwayoung is the maknae "the youngest/newest" in the grou so hierarchy is definitely in play. Because maknaes are supposed to be respectful and do thing for the sunbaes and in her case unnie's. So she might not have been respectful enough to her members and the staff.
She was also added to T-ara in 2010 when they were already famous and T-ara's original members might have thought that she was riding on the fame the original members built from scratch. I mean what if you one of
T-ara's orginal members and you worked your ass off to get the fame you have now and all of a sudden BAM! a new member appears and becomes famous instantly. Of course since the member's might have thought that she was riding on their fame the least the new member could do is try their hardest and HwaYoung refusing to perform minutes before going on stage is ridiculous thus making the other members mad that she didn't try hard enough.
Management also had a play in this. Their CEO has not given them a break since their debut in 2009. They are constantly overworked, flying from places, never getting sleep. And the CEO threatening them about being fired/kicked out.
So many other things like HwaYoung firing back at tweets and also her sister firing back at tweets. If the 2 didn't reply back there wouldn't have been such a big catastophe so I kind of blame HwaYoung for making this so public. If she knew that the tweets were meant for her then she could have just talked to them in person and tried to resolve their differences.
The fans also need to calm down. You guys (fans) have no idea whats going on beside looking at gossip on the net so stop and look at it as a member of T-ara. Put yourself in their shoes. These girls who are in a group that they didn't pick, they are overworked, no rest, , their constantly together, while being friends they are also rivals. Come one guys it was bound to happen. Some people you click with and some people you just can't work with its the same thing for them. So stop asking them to disband because that's stupid their just having an argument but the difference is its public. people have differences and these guys just need to talk it out and get some conclusions. You guys are not them and know not of all the truths or can you tell which one is made up or not. So wait T-ara to tell you the truth from their own mouths before making accusations on this matter.
Ever since becoming a kpop blogger I learned that I need to learn details before posting anything because i love you guys and I need to tell you the truths. I was one of those fans who would defend my favorite member without really knowing what happened. Like the accusations on Jay Park about leaving a comment on his myspace when it was actually a letter to a friend about concerns and stuff and his hardships and people took it wrong and I don't think it was actually translated correctly and he was demanded to leave 2PM and so he did. Look at now, they all want him back on 2PM and their sorry. Also the fact that it was a Personal Message made me wonder things... Fans are so obsessed with idols that they hack personal accounts. Now people hacking any kind of personal account is illegal. it's like taking people's mail. its invasion of privacy. Its the same with this and any scandal. look at the details before making accusations.
I love kpop and all its being but the fans who get too caught up and being "sesang" fans make kpop so corrupt. I mean you can cyber stalk them like I do by looking at kpop news and looking at their twitter but never would I go and stalk their houses and follow them nor would i punch them because I want them to remember me. That is outright ridiculousness. Heechul of SUJU closed his twitter account because of sesang fan and so did Yoochun of JYJ recently. Thanks a lot sesang fan I can't cyber stalk them anymore on twitter.
